wiki, wiki, wikiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

okay. i learned about wikis before staff day and before the 23 things.
Annie first showed me one. she was looking at recipes from a personal chef on a wiki and she kinda explained it to me.
then sometime later i was looking up things on wikipedia and i complained about something and Raisa was kind enough to tell me that maybe the info was wrong since it was all user generated. i was shocked. i had been using wikipidea for a while and never knew.
then Jill our bestesest head children's librarian showed me her wiki (i have completely forgotten why..maybe her pilot training)and i loved it. i think i might have signed up for one... no i did not; i just made a note and promised myself to make one one day.

SJCPL Subject Guides – a pathfinder wiki developed by the St. Joseph County Public Library system well it looks like a mini local wikipedia.

Library 2.0 in 15 Minutes a Day - a page of the Oregon Librarian Instruction wiki by Sam Wallin (similar to our 23 things) nice and yeah i had seen a lot of the info before. what about the spam? i cannot believe folks would spam a wiki. how mean!
Book Lovers Wiki - developed by the Princeton Public Library
loved it ! i must save this site somehow. i love book reviews. i know i could subscribe via RSS but i don't check that thing. so... what now? i must join PBWiki.

Library Success: A best practices wiki - Parent wiki to the "What is a Wiki" article above
nice. another mini wikipedia . hmm i guess layouts are limited huh?

ALA 2006 New Orleans wiki – an example of a wiki created to support a specific event
hmm nice. if the members of the organization that are planning the event are spread out this is convenient

The Bull Run Library wiki - a public library wiki (notice, not all wiki's need to be identified as wiki's) i want world cat!!! i like the idea of a person volunteering to make and maintain a wiki for the library, kinda like an official fan website where the celebrity doesn't need to do anything but approve what is posted. nice. oh library elf..i remember you i wanted to sign up for you. i am loving this wiki. how to sign up....

MERLIN Wiki Learning link (MERLIN: Maryland's Essential Resource for Library Information Networks) hello merlin..

applications? i don't know what that means. i liked the book review wiki the best, well no the bull run one was chock full of resources i liked as well.
