shoot i could not watch the video...sigh.
hmm Jen could have told us that we needed to go to advanced search to do all these different searches she wants us to do. no, that would have been too easy. instead i just wasted 15 minutes trying to find out how i could do the discovery exercise#1. anyway...

so first advanced search - keyword search of exact phrase learning 2.0 searching in all blogs
i got 510 results in posts, 348 in blogs, 20 in videos, and over 140 in photos. i saw lots of library posts in that section. looking for us maybe if i typed i Maryland i'd find us quicker. so i added Maryland in the search under at least one of the words. yup found us and all our fellow learners in MD. cool.

next advanced search- typed it in tag search and the results
660 posts tagged learning 2.0, 749blogs, 20 videos (looks like the same ones), and over 140 photos (these look familiar as well)

and the last advanced search is in the blog directory
743 blogs (they look similar to the ones in the tag search)

and last advanced search is URL search (Jen did not ask us to do this one)
hmm it says 660 posts tagged, just like in the tag search, 750 blogs which look like the same ones in the tag and blog directory search, apparently there are only 20 videos on learning 2.0, and the over 140 photos look the same as all the others in the searches.

okay the second discovery exercise is found on the popular technocrati page
okay canned the 100 favorited blogs and they look boring to me= techie, money, or political. with a smattering of entertaining blogs about noting really but the regular everyday person who is blogging. you would think since i like to sign up for stuff and love certain sci-fi shows and books hat i would be a techie geek as well, but nope. i did not find more than 3 blogs who judging by their summaries i'd actually click on to read. one was about self help with money, the other two were personal about my life type blogs whose poster sounded interesting.

the 100 top blogs look kinda like the the favorited blogs...at least the names sound awfully familiar to me, not the same order but still i think they are mostly the same ones. the bottom 10 were new to me, still same old stuff.


the top searches i recognized some things but these probably change more frequently than the other popular items.

okay i claimed my blog and now i want to tag them but i did not understand the directions at all. it was all Greek or technocrati to me.

so i can not see on this page where i am creating this post a place to tag. and what is an enclosure link? i am going to add one and see. MMIE Type.? no idea just will type in the name of the site. uh oh, no spaces allowed in MMIE. hmm what is it? well i saw no link on the blog since i posted it . oh well. it shall remain a mystery.
